| |
|
Who regulates the scheme? |
|
The scheme is managed by a board of employers and
members of industry bodies such as the Construction Confederation, the
Construction Plant-Hire Association (CPA) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
It is also part of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS). |
| |
|
What are the aims of the scheme? |
|
The aim is for future/existing operators of plant
to work towards a recognised qualification (NVQ). The NVQ that delegates will work
towards is called Plant Operations Level 2. For more
information on this NVQ then

recognised throughout Europe. It is also intended to encourage employers
to choose skilled workers with current health and safety knowledge for
construction. |

|
How do I go about attending a CPCS course? |

the health and safety test - it must have been within the last two years.
